Pseudo Heroes
Pseudo Heroes are a three-piece from Tampa, FL consisting of Sam Williams (Down By Law) on guitar and vox, Kevin Coss (Pink Lincolns) on bass, and Carlos Velez-Collins (previously untapped virtuoso) on drums.
Previous two releases on Theologian Records showcase the band's aptitude towards non-cliche' powerpop/punk (read: Husker Du, Jawbreaker, Dag Nasty). The new album on Go Kart sees more of the same, but with a twist. "A Prison Of Small Perceptions" is a record with a concept and a message "take off the blinders, people". And grow a set of roots, while you're at it!
The album includes several cuts of genre hopping (hardcore, punk, death metal, emo, etc.) material which features guest singers from some historic underground bands such as

Sound eclectic? Hopefully, since that's half the point. Yet the album retains it's cohesiveness extremely well. Just imagine a Zen Arcade (Husker Du) or Enjoy (Descendents) for the new millenium, where you get a decent dose of searing thrash to go with your catchy pop tunes.

The Pseudo Heroes is the brainchild of Sam Williams of Down By Law as well as former members of the Pink Lincolns. For their new record, Sam enlisted help with vocals on some tracks from punk rock (superstars such as Jerry A. (Poison Idea), John Stabb (Government Issue), Dave Smalley (Dag Nasty, All, Down By Law), Lee Dorrian (Napalm Death, Cathedral) and lots more!
