You can’t keep a good man down. Hard working everymusicman Jeremy Winter, a.k.a. Jett Brando, has conjured up a record that will solidify his status alongside indie pop icons such as Jeff Magnum, Stephen Merritt, Elliott Smith and Beck. With Jett Brando’s celebration of eclecticism, Jagged Junktion embodies the maxim “do it all, and do it well.”
Jagged Junktion is leaps and bounds beyond Jett’s well-received debut full-length The Movement Toward You (Gern Blandsten), which was a decidedly more bare bones garage-pop effort than the trademark wall-of-noise that brought wide acclaim to his previous band, All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors (a.k.a. L&L). After L&L fizzled out years ago, Jett kept the momentum surging forward with his own singular musical vision. During that time he could also be heard appearing on groundbreaking records such as Dalek’s From Filthy Tongues of Gods and Griots (Ipecac Records), Beautiful Skin’s Revolve (GSL), and Then Ten’s amazing self-titled E.P.
